The GCFC Promo Sqaud spent Friday surrounded by ferry floss, ferris wheels and fans! The guys were mixing it with kids and their families who were lucky enough to score a day off thanks to the annual GC Show public holiday.
GCFC player Matt Storey and 'GC' the mascot were there to participate in the fun and games which included a kick-off. Here are some happy snaps captured throughout the day...
Jesse Haberfield returned to his former school Bellevue Park Primary today to read his favourite childrens book to the students as part of their Book Week....
'GC' and the lads from the GCFC Promotions Squad headed down to the launch of the brand new Broadwater Parklands yesterday for plenty of fun in the sun!
The day was a hit with hundreds of families heading to the new community destination. The GCFC team were on hand to demonstrate their AFL skills, host kicking and handballing competitions and also enjoying a chance to take in some of the other sites the venue has to offer, including a fantastic peer running out over the water. The new parklands are a great initiative for the GC community and we look forward to spending many more a sunny Sunday down by the water!
Well it was all happening at GC Stadium today as a host of local footy fans poured through the gates to get behind their team in the second last GCFC home game for 2009! The family day concept meant there was plenty of fun for everyone with face painters and a balloon clown proving popular amongst the kids, as well as plenty of activities with the GCFC Promo Team happening throughout the morning.
There was plenty of footy action on-field with the Gold Coast defeating the Bendigo Pioneers in their TAC Cup Round 18 clash, meaning the guys are through to the finals in their inaugural year! Following the GCFC game local AFLQ champs Southport Sharks were successful in defeating the Northern Territory.
