The Gold Coast SUNS have continued to support the community since the Clubs inception into the AFL. 2014 again saw the GC SUNS successfully engage the community reaching over 5,000 hours of community support delivered by our players and staff.
Working in conjunction with AFL Queensland’s Game Development team and the Gold Coast SUNS Promotions team, the GC SUNS provide a wide variety of community appearances through many programs and activities.
Some of these include visits and participation at Auskick centres, primary and high school competitions, Super Clinics, sign on days, awards nights, Club visits, junior member’s days, AFL Community Camps and school holiday camps.
The Club is also strongly committed to its three core pillars of social responsibility which it welcomely commits both player and coach appearances to. These include:
The Gold Coast SUNS also welcome applications from the wider community for the GC SUNS Promotions team or Player / Coach Appearances. However due to the sometimes overwhelming volume of submissions and the significant prior commitments to the clubs key community areas (listed above), we cannot guarantee that we can grant each request on every occasion.
