The Gold Coast SUNS are committed to supporting the Community, through meaningful relationships and innovative programs and activity.
One of the Clubs five values is Community. Our promise is to continue to engage and develop sustainable Community programs and activity that will exist and provide benefit, both now and well into the future.

The club will strongly support, engage in activity and assist in fundraising in three of the most challenging areas of social responsibility on the Gold Coast (now called the Horizons program) being:
Last year in 2012 the Gold Coast SUNS completed over 5000 hours of Community work and activity through over 1700 appearances. This is on the back of its first season in the AFL, where the Club through the work of its players and staff were acknowledged by the Community, by winning the very prestigious Gold Coast Business Excellence Award’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award the work done in the Gold Coast Community.
For the Gold Coast SUNS the work doesn’t stop there. The Club this year for 2013 have just announce many new and exciting programs and partnerships in the Community that will continue to provide much needed support within the Community.
These include the exciting new Horizons program supported by Rotary Gold Coast, the Horizons grants program, the SIPS program (SUNS International Program for Students) and the Clubs focus on Diversity (which includes Multicultural, Indigenous and Female) just name a few, that will complement the extensive suite of programs the Gold Coast SUNS already activate in the Community.
