A critical element of building the Gold Coast Football Club will be establishing and maintaining a community connection.GCFC has aligned with existing QAFL infrastructure and programs on the Gold Coast/Northern NSW region. This alliance has seen all participation activities branded as GCFC / AFL and allows our club to reach more than 95% of local schools, the Gold Coast Junior AFL League and Clubs, QAFL Senior Clubs, talent pathways and volunteers /coach/umpire programs. Through AFL and QAFL, GCFC will invest more than $1 million annually in these community programs and deliver over 30,000 hours of physical community service activities to the Gold Coast community.
Our promise is to ensure we will have meaningful engagement with the community. We are currently working with the Gold Coast City Council to develop a strategic program which will align the football club with key issues affecting the local community. More detail on that program will be available in the future.
