Gold Coast SUNS have already kicked their first goal on their new home ground with Australia’s leading home builder, Metricon announced as naming rights partner for the Stadium.
The state of the art $144.2 million venue has hosted some blockbuster games this season against Geelong Cats, North Melbourne, Western Bulldogs and Sydney Swans.
Metricon Stadium is a 25,000 seat stadium which will be home to the Gold Coast SUNS in 2011 and become an exciting part of the Gold Coast sporting landscape. The Gold Coast SUNS will make their debut appearance at Metricon Stadium in Round 10 of the AFL season however the Gold Coast Public will receive an opportunity to inspect the venue at a scheduled peoples day on Sunday 22nd of May .
