Gold Coast boom recruit Jaeger O'Meara has been honoured with being handed the SUNS number 1 guenrsey.
The 17 year old West Australian, who was this week granted permission to play in the NAB Cup later this month said he was ecstatic eight the honor.
"It's a privilege to have been given the number 1 guernsey.
"When the club approached me I was really honored, it's not something I had given much thought to, but the number 1 jumper has a real tradition in our game so it will be great to be able to wear it."
O'Meara will be officially presented with the jumper at the clubs season launch following the GC SUNS intra club match at Metricon Stadium on Saturday 18 February. Further information will be released shortly.
