Superstar midfielder Gary Ablett spearheaded the Gold Coast SUNS third premiership campaign with an inspired fourth quarter at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night, the skippers final quarter performance leading his chargers to a thrilling 13-point win over St. Kilda in front of close to 14,000 frenzied fans at Metricon Stadium.

The code’s best player finished the contest with a game-high 34 possessions and four goals.

Showing steely resolve and composure, Ablett led by example as the home team closed the match out in the final term, the skipper finding the big sticks on three occasions and steering the GC SUNS to one of the most satisfying victories since joining the competition.
