A nationwide search to find the Voice of the GC SUNS has concluded with one lucky winner to step into the chair as the official ground announcer for our first home game against St Kilda on Saturday 11 April.

Five finalists attended a live test day at Metricon Stadium on Tuesday with each entrant performing to a high standard.

A judging panel was blown away by the depth of talent and the passion for the Gold Coast SUNS, however only one could walk away with the title of Voice of the GC SUNS and that was Adam ‘DJ Tallie’ Thornley.

Thornley has a wealth of experience as a MC and public speaker at live events, covering a variety of high-profile events including the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, Gold Coast Blaze, The Color Run Australia/New Zealand and the 2015 Netball World Cup.

“I’m really excited to be joining the team as the Voice of the Gold Coast SUNS in 2015,” Thornley told goldcoastfc.com.au.

“I can’t wait to join with you – our amazing members, supporters and fans – to create an amazing game day experience as we turn Metricon Stadium into a furnace for opposition teams.

“Let’s all stand together and get behind our teams, let’s FIRE UP Gold Coast! Go the SUNS!”

Get behind Adam and the team in round two when the Gold Coast SUNS take on St Kilda at Metricon Stadium.
