Gold Coast SUNS midfielder Andrew Raines has been charged with striking Carlton’s Patrick Cripps during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Blues at Etihad Stadium.

After assessing the incident, the Match Review Panel has classified the charge as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.

Due to Raines’ good record, the former Richmond and Brisbane Lions midfielder can accept a $1000 sanction with an early guilty plea.
