The Gold Coast SUNS will host a diversity engagement function during Saturday night’s game against the West Coast Eagles at Metricon Stadium.

Launching in 2012 as a Diversity Breakfast, the gathering is an opportunity for multicultural partners, community and ethnic leaders, Government and like-minded businesses to come together and discuss the importance of diversity. The SUNS are committed to operate as a vehicle to drive and promote social change.

This year the breakfast has transformed into a function to allow key stakeholders and members of the Gold Coast community the chance to experience not only a live SUNS game for the first time, but also a live AFL game for the very first.

The football club endeavours to provide opportunities for people of all nationalities and all backgrounds to experience the game of AFL on the Gold Coast. A place where the game is foreign and only beginning to grow its reach.

A more formal function this year will allow the Gold Coast SUNS and the community to not only build deeper links with one another, but also build a strong cultural rapport with such a diverse community.
