The score review system is again under fire after Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade questioned a decision that cost his team a possible goal in its draw against West Coast.

SUNS midfielder Luke Russell kicked what appeared to be a goal late in the third quarter before a review was called.

Eagle Matt Rosa made a desperate attempt to touch the ball on the goal-line.

The goal umpire's original decision of touched was upheld when a lack of cameras restricted the number – and angle – of replays.

Gold Coast led by two points at the time.

Eade was non-plussed in his post-match press conference.

"It looked a goal," he said.

"What I saw, and I have to stand to be corrected, Rosa's foot seemed to be on the line and he's reaching forward.

"By logic, he's over the line.

"I couldn't believe that you would call that,” Eade said.

"And why there's no side-on view.

"You could argue that it would have cost us, and we had a bit of momentum at that stage."

Although he was disappointed in the decision, Eade said he was pleased it didn't affect the mindset of his team.

"Having that go against us didn't dispirit the blokes and that was pleasing too, to put that to the side and keep motoring on."
