GC SUNS midfielder Aaron Hall has been lauded this week by almost every corner of the football community after his career-high 40-disposal game against Carlton.

The Tasmanian was voted the AFL Player of the Round by fans and given nine out of a possible 10 votes by the two coaches on the night.

In an exclusive interview with AFL.com.au, the 25-year-old admitted he still has a lot of room for improvement in his game, a sentiment echoed by Gold Coast's senior coach Rodney Eade.

“I think he’s got a fair bit of improvement in him,” Eade told United Coaches Chat on Thursday.

“He’s only played 14 games in the midfield so there’s still quite a little bit of that role that he can learn. You don’t pick it up straight away, there’s a lot of elements to being a good midfielder.

“He’s got a fair bit covered because of his natural talent but I think full credit to him has been his work rate. He’s had a great pre-season, he’s got himself really fit, he’s lost some weight but he’s stronger.

“So I think full credit has got to go to him for the work he’s prepared to put in. And he just adds another dimension to our midfield. Obviously we’ve got five or six guys we can throw through there so we just don’t start relying on one player.”
