Rookie Darcy Macpherson will get an opportunity to play alongside best mate Brayden Fiorini after being recalled to the SUNS senior team to face Port Adelaide on Saturday night at Metricon Stadium.

Macpherson made his AFL debut in round seven against Melbourne, impressing with his manic pressure to lead his side in pressure points for the game.

However, the Northern Knights product suffered a medial ligament injury to his knee in round nine to curtail a promising start to his career.

Mitch Hallahan was the SUNS’ match winner in the NEAFL last week, collecting 35 disposals and kicking four goals in the four-point win over Aspley.

The inside midfielder has found himself in and out of the senior side in recent weeks and has been rewarded with a senior berth to showcase his talents one last time this season.

Jesse Joyce is the other inclusion with the 18-year-old defender returning after a one-week absence. The Gold Coaster made his debut in round 11 and played 10 consecutive games, averaging 10.6 disposals per game.

Jarrod Garlett (shoulder), Sean Lemmens (concussion) and Jarrod Harbrow (hand) all miss the last game of 2016 through injury.
