The Gold Coast SUNS will commence their pre-season fixture against Queensland rivals, the Brisbane Lions, at Kombumerri Park in Broadbeach on Sunday February 19 at 3.40pm EST.
Commencing in mid February, the JLT Community Series once again sees all 18 teams compete three times over the four-week fixture, between Thursday February 16 and Sunday March 12, to lead into the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
Seven days after the opening game, the SUNS meet Essendon at Harrup Park Country Club in Mackay on Sunday February 26 at 3.40pm EST. The North Queensland region is an essential part of the SUNS’ Academy zone and therefore a highlight on the pre-season fixture.
Gold Coast’s final game will be held at Metricon Stadium against 2016 premiers Western Bulldogs on Thursday March 9 at 4.50pm EST.
All 27 matches will be exclusively broadcast on television live by Fox Footy and, in addition, every match will also be made available live to fans via the AFL Live App.
For the third successive season, AFL club members with game access will be entitled to attend their club’s JTL Community Series matches free of charge, subject to availability.
