Gold Coast SUNS midfielder Touk Miller is a stylish young man. His three-piece light grey suit and burgundy tie accompaniment at this year’s Club Champion night turned heads with the emerging star comfortably sitting among the best dressed on the night

With the playing list just weeks into the 2017 pre-season, Miller has turned heads once again with a new Flat Top hairstyle drawing comparisons to NBA star Iman Shumpert and Will Smith in his Fresh Prince of Bel Air days.

Miller was hoping for a positive response to his hairstyle from his teammates, a mere formality in the view of this author.

“I went for something different I think,” Miller told SUNS TV.

“I think I was going for the short, back and sides. Hopefully a flat top in the coming times, but hopefully it gets a good reception amongst the group.”

Radical hairstyles have often translated to on-field success, with Shane Woewodin embracing blonde tips on the way to his Brownlow win in 2000, whilst Nat Fyfe and his luscious locks were able to seize Charlie in 2015.

However Miller isn’t looking to get too outrageous, vowing to stick to the ‘plain and simple flat tops’ in the 2017 season.

“I don’t want to get too outrageous. I had a few really shifty ones last year in the last pre-season but I think I might stick to plain and simple flat tops if you can say that,” Miller said.
