The Gold Coast SUNS’ NEAFL will take on the Aspley Hornets this Saturday afternoon at Metricon Stadium.

With the Hornets currently fifth on the ladder, one place higher than the SUNS, this game could have a big impact on final ladder placings.

Last time the two teams met, Gold Coast got over the line by 14 points and will be keen to repeat the effort.

The home team will welcome back Darcy Macpherson this week as he looks to continue his strong NEAFL form this season.

Also returning to the team are Jesse Joyce, Mackenzie Willis and Matt Shaw, providing coach Stephen Daniel with 17 AFL-listed players this week.

One SUNS player to watch out for is Mitch Hallahan, who was instrumental in last week's victory over Canberra as he went on to tally 45 disposals.

The midfielder has now moved into the top ten of the NEAFL MVP leaderboard.

The match will be played at 12.55pm as a curtain raiser to the Gold Coast SUNS v North Melbourne clash.
