Gold Coast’s NEAFL team takes on local rival Southport Sharks for round 17 on Saturday at Fankhauser Reserve.

The SUNS side will only boast 13 listed players and be without Jack Scrimshaw, Jesse Lonergan and Brayden Fiorini, who have all been called up to the senior team.

When the two sides met in Round 10, Gold Coast easily accounted for the Sharks, running out 117-point victors with a near full strength side.

Sitting fifth on the ladder (7-7) the SUNS will be looking to cement their position in the top six and ensure a finals berth.

Brayden Crossley, who was recently named an U18 All Australian, has continuously shone for the SUNS at NEAFL level and continues to build his case ahead of the 2018 National Draft.
