Firstly, a big congratulations to all those AFL Fantasy coaches who have made it through to the preliminary finals this weekend and here’s hoping some big performances from your Gold Coast players will help you win your league.

Jack Martin was outstanding on Saturday evening as he booted four goals, which could quite easily have been a few more.

With captain Tom Lynch out for the remainder of the season, Martin was used as a focal point going forward for the SUNS, resulting in nine marks and 118 Fantasy points.

This was Martin’s highest score for 2017 and fourth score over 100 in the second half of the season, highlighting his rare, electrifying talents that will continue to excite SUNS fans in the future.

Martin’s value has increased by $65,000 across the season, showing the improvements he has made to his game from last year.

Midfielder’s David Swallow (104) and Touk Miller (99) never stopped trying for Gold Coast.

Swallow has been an excellent Fantasy purchase this season, his value having increased by $151,000 over the course of the season and he is averaging 95.2 points over his last five games.

We are looking forward to seeing what he can produce in 2018 with another injury free pre-season under his belt.

Miller did an excellent job negating the influence of Brisbane gun Dayne Zorko whilst also gathering 29 possessions himself, including nine clearances.

Young defender, Max Spencer impressed in just his third game of AFL football, gathering 76 points.

The Gold Coast Academy product has already seen his value increase by $64,000 and looks set to be a player to watch for your Fantasy teams for 2018 and beyond.

Aaron Hall (95) continued on his high scoring season whilst milestone men, Jarrod Harbrow (94) and Matt Rosa (81) did their bit in what was a tough evening for the SUNS at the Gabba.
