Jack Bowes returns to the senior side for the SUNS’ Round 4 clash with West Coast following a one match suspension

The Academy product has been named on the interchange to replace Pearce Hanley, who suffered a severe shoulder injury against Fremantle in Round 3.

Saturday’s also marks the 100th career and club game milestone for midfielder Aaron Hall, who made his SUNS debut in 2012.

The match against West Coast comes following a week in Western Australia for the SUNS, who elected to remain in the state between the Round 3 and round 4 matches.

Senior Coach Stuart Dew told the media the week had allowed the team extra bonding time, but also the chance to watch their upcoming opponent live.

“In a long-term view as a footy club it’s great to spend time with the players that you normally wouldn’t get to,” Dew said.

“In terms of our program it’s been exactly the same.

“We didn’t ask enough questions of Fremantle with our ball movement – we look for some improvement there and go a little bit more direct.

“Not often we get to [watch opposition clubs live] – it was good to go and watch and get a feel for how they play live.

“Eventually their [West Coast’s] work-rate got them over the line.”

The SUNS head into the match following a loss against Fremantle and will be looking to return to their winning form from the earlier rounds.

The game will be broadcast on Fox Footy and 7Mate (check local guides).
