The Western Bulldogs have made one change from their victorious side over Carlton last week, with skipper Easton Wood replaced by defender Lewis Young.

Wood was ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury in last week’s match and is set for up to three weeks on the sidelines.

It gives debutant and SUNS Academy product Brayden Crossley an opportunity to make an immediate impact with the Dogs already without important defenders Dale Morris (knee) and Marcus Adams (ankle).

With the SUNS missing captains Tom Lynch and Steven May for the match, and the Dogs without Wood, it means both sides will have stand-in skippers in David Swallow and Marcus Bontempelli.

Bontempelli has captained the Dogs once before, in Round 11 of 2016, when he became the youngest winning captain in AFL history.

The Bulldogs have won the last four contests between the two sides with all of those matches being played at Cazalys Stadium in Cairns.
