Sam Day has accepted a one-match sanction offered to him by the AFL's Match Review Officer and will miss the SUNS' round 9 clash against Port Adelaide.

He was charged with striking Melbourne's Neville Jetta, during the second quarter of the match.

An early plea enabled Day to accept a one-match suspension, which he has taken.

Steven May, who has been charged with making intentional contact with an umpire, will have his case heard at the Tribunal on Monday night.
