Kool Kids Training College join the SUNS family  June 6, 2018 11:00 AM

  - Gold Coast Suns

The Gold Coast SUNS are pleased to announce Kool Kids Training College (RTO 40636) as a major partner of its women’s football program and a naming rights partner of the club’s membership & fan development programs.

The new partnership will see Kool Kids Training College, a specialist Registered Training Organisation in Early Childhood Education & Care become the inaugural partner of the GC SUNS women’s program including the Winter Series team that will play its inaugural game against GWS Giants North on Saturday in Sydney.

Chief Executive Officer, Mark Evans, welcomed Kool Kids Training College to the Gold Coast SUNS family.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome such a well-known Gold Coast business to the club which will see Kool Kids partner our Women’s football program for the next two years” Evans said.

“Kool Kids Training College, led by Bruce Coulson and his team, will play an important role as the Gold Coast SUNS Get Set for our AFLW debut in 2020.

“Women’s football in Queensland is thriving and our women’s team, now partnered by Kool Kids, will allow us to continue to inspire more women on the Gold Coast and throughout North Queensland to play AFL football.”

CEO Managing Director, Bruce Coulson, said the partnership with the SUNS was an exciting opportunity to help grow women’s football in the region.

“The opportunity to help foster the growth of women’s football on the Gold Coast is something that everyone at Kool Kids is excited about, and we’re looking forward to working with the SUNS to achieve this,” Coulson said.

“98% of our employees are female and that’s why we saw an amazing connection with the Gold Coast SUNS Women’s program and everything it represents. The positive momentum we’re seeing in the Women’s league closely aligns with that of our Training Colleges, so there’s a natural synergy of both parties growing together.”

As part of the overall partnership, all participants involved in the establishment of the SUNS 2018 Women’s Winter Series squad, including talent ID days, will be offered a heavily subsidised opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

“Partnering with the women’s program provides Kool Kids Training College with a great avenue to promote careers in Early Childhood Education and is a great opportunity to help develop and upskill SUNS players in 2018 and beyond.”

The Gold Coast SUNS already have a close connection with Kool Kids Training College, as both Kat Solomon, wife of Senior Assistant Coach, Dean Solomon, and Jo Rischitelli, wife of Senior Player Michael Rischitelli, have completed their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care in recent months.

The Kool Kids Training College brand will feature across the team’s media and playing apparel and on the club’s membership & fan development collateral.
