Two changes have been made to the side to take on Hawthorn in Launceston.

Jacob Dawson has been named to make his AFL debut, replacing the injured Jack Bowes.

A Gold Coast SUNS Academy product, Dawson was elevated from the rookie list last month as a replacement for the injured Pearce Hanley.

Dawson has played nine NEAFL games this season, averaging an impressive 26 disposals and six tackles per game.

Peter Wright also comes into the side for his first senior game of 2018 after building match fitness in the NEAFL.

Wright has lined up for five games on his comeback from a calf injury and averaged 17 disposals and 20 hit-outs playing in the ruck.

Rory Thompson will miss the trip to Launceston, having suffered hamstring tightness.

The SUNS will be looking to overcome the Hawks’ impressive record in Tasmania and register their first win at University of Tasmania Stadium.
