There are at least four confirmed changes to the side to take on Melbourne this Sunday, with a possible further three changes pending final team selection on Friday afternoon.

After suffering a head knock in the match against Carlton on the weekend, David Swallow won’t play this weekend.

Pearce Hanley will play his first senior game since round three after he dislocated the shoulder he previously damaged during the JLT series at the start of the year.

The defender has played two games in the NEAFL to return to fitness, where he has averaged 27.5 disposals.

Max Spencer and Jack Leslie have come into the side to cover the loss of Steven May (suspension) and Rory Thompson (injured) as key pillars in defence.

Callum Ah Chee comes back in to the team after missing last week through illness and will resume his post in defence.

Midfielders Michael Barlow, Jacob Dawson and Ben Ainsworth have also been added to the squad.

They have been named on an extended interchange bench alongside Jarryd Lyons, Brayden Fiorini, Michael Rischitelli and Jesse Joyce.

The first bounce on Sunday is at 3.20pm, with Gold Coast taking to the MCG for the first time in 2018.
