The Gold Coast SUNS have secured Anthony Miles and Corey Ellis from the Richmond Football Club.

The SUNS today finalised a trade that saw both Miles and Ellis join the club along with Richmond’s future third round selection in exchange for the SUNS future third round selection in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft.

Miles was originally selected by GWS as a NSW-ACT zone selection in 2011 going on to play ten games during two seasons with the Giants.

After being overlooked in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, Miles was selected by Richmond with pick 27, in the Rookie draft going on to play 61 games for the Tigers.

"Anthony has proven his ability at the top level and we’re excited by the opportunity to add him to our midfield group,” said Cameron.

“He joins the club fresh from winning the 2018 JJ Liston Medal as the VFL’s best and fairest player after a season in which he averaged 28.6 disposals and 7.7 clearances, 4.2 tackles each game.

Selected at pick 12 in the 2014 NAB AFL draft, Ellis joins the club after playing 27 games with the Tigers.
