(Gold Coast) No. 11 overall.
Tom Lynch has proven himself to be one of the premier key forwards in the competition, coming off a 2017 season which saw him top Gold Coast’s goal-kicking with 44 goals. Lynch played 19 games last year before a knee injury prematurely ended his season.
After being re-appointed as captain for 2018 alongside Steven May, Lynch will be looking for another strong year in front of goals. As the focal point inside 50 for the SUNS in 2017, Lynch often found himself double or even triple teamed by defenders which limited his potential. However, with a fit and firing Sam Day back in the side and Peter Wright waiting in the wings, Lynch should be able to share the load to help his side win more games in 2018.
