A skilful goalsneak renowned for his defensive pressure, Magin has muscled up significantly and improved his endurance since arriving at the GC SUNS and shouldn’t be discounted as a potential midfield rotation in coming years.
He kicked 17 goals in 14 games for the GC SUNS during the 2010 VFL season, not a bad return for a small forward in an unsettled and young team that struggled to kick big scores.
A born and bred Sunshine Coaster from a well-credentialed footballing family - his father, Bill, is a member of AFL Queensland’s Hall of Fame and his brother, Rhys, played at Essendon – Magin learned his football from the ‘mountain men’ of Pomona Demons Football Club.
He also represented the Suncoast Power and played for Queensland at both Under 16 and Under 18 levels.
