Henry Schade was the Gold Coast SUNS 1st selection, number 24 overall in the 2011 AFL draft.
The 196cm Tasmanian full-back is an impressive size and his courageous play with the North Hobart Demons has won him plenty of admirers.
His willingness to attack the ball carrier saw him knocked out in the dying seconds of a game the Demons had well in their keeping late in the season.
Schade’s father has the biggest influence on his football, having coached him from Auskick right through until the under-15s.
The left-footer is a strong one-on-one defender who likes to run the ball out of the back half.
He made his first representative team in the under-14s but really stamped himself as a draft prospect in the past two years.
Last year he shone with the Tassie Mariners as an overage under-16 player at the national championships, and took another step forward with the under-18s this year.
