A SUNS side that fought gallantly in Round 5 ultimately couldn’t quite get over the line against one of the form teams of the AFL competition.

Last week Vice-Captain Sam Collins was voted your Austworld Player of the Round, but who will get your vote for Round 5?

Captain Touk Miller led from the front again against a St Kilda midfield that dominated the clearance count. Miller had a game high 32 disposals, five clearances, 486 metres gained and three goal assists.

Sam Collins was locked in an enthralling battle with Max King and although King had three goals to his name, Collins was a dominant force inside defensive 50. He had nine marks of his own and continues to stand up as a leader down back.

Ben Ainsworth was ferocious in his endeavour all afternoon causing headaches for the St Kilda small defenders, he finished with two goals from his 16 touches, four tackles and 347 metres gained.

Levi Casboult did what Casboult does best, he fought and fought and contested everything all day. Played 100% of the game and crashed packs, has he done enough to earn your vote for the Austworld POTR?

Jarrod Witts continues his return from his knee injury last year, he got the better of St Kilda Ruckman Rowan Marshall with 31 hitouts and four tackles to his name.

Lachie Weller provided plenty of run off half back and Jy Farrar looked dangerous both when the ball was in the air and on the ground.

Noah Anderson finished the game with 25 disposals, six Inside 50’s and worked relentlessly throughout the entire contest.

Brandon Ellis was back to his wing role for the SUNS and was hellbent on getting the team going forward, he had a goal, 22 touches and five inside 50’s.

Now it’s up to you SUNS fans, who will get your vote for the Round 5 clash against St Kilda as the Austworld Player of the Round.
