Nick Holman’s efforts in Round 11 against GWS have been recognised with one AFLCA Coaches’ vote.

Holman was given the role of shutting down dangerous Giant Lachie Whitfield who has run rampant in recent weeks.

Whitfield was restricted to just 17 possessions on the day after he has averaged 35 from his previous two games.

Holman himself was able to pick up 13 disposals, six marks and five tackles.

Five GWS players shared in the remainder of the votes with Stephen Coniglio receiving the maximum 10 votes for his 36 disposals and three goals.

Jeremy Cameron (7 votes), Josh Kelly (7), Jacob Hopper (4) and Sam Reid (1) were the others to poll in the game.

Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game.

The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5. The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).
