The Gold Coast SUNS will be without Karmichael Hunt and Charlie Dixon for the third consecutive week, when the team tackles Hawthorn at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.

General Manager – Football Operations Marcus Ashcroft confirmed the pair wouldn’t be in contention for senior selection this week.

“Charlie and Karmichael are progressing through their rehabilitation, however we anticipate they won't be available for selection until next week.”

Defender Seb Tape, who ruptured his ACL half way through last season, will make his long awaited return to football this weekend.

Tape will line up for the GC SUNS reserves against the UWS Giants in Blacktown on Saturday.

“It’s fantastic news for Seb, he has completed his  rehabilitation in the relentless manner that we are so accustom to with him and its a credit to Seb that he will play this week.”

Ashcroft also confirmed that Tom Murphy would be available for senior selection against his old side after missing last weeks match with concussion.
