The Gold Coast SUNS travel to Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday to face the Sydney Swans in a NEAFL Preliminary Final.

The match marks the first Preliminary Final for the SUNS at NEAFL level, and coach Stephen Daniel will be entrusting 17-listed players to secure at team a spot in the Grand Final.

In a huge boost for the team Mitch Hallahan and Darcy Macpherson return, having both played at senior level last week after being named in the NEAFL Team of The Year.

With the SUNS’ AFL team no longer competing in 2017, the likes of Will Brodie, Michael Rischitelli, Keegan Brooksby, Max Spencer and Jack Bowes will also take to the field.

Following his outstanding performance in the SUNS’ win over NT Thunder, Academy product Brayden Crossley will once take to the ruck role, supported in the midfield by five listed SUNS.

A win over Sydney Swans will see the SUNS secure a place in the NEAFL Grand Final, details of which will be confirmed over the weekend pending results.

For those wishing to cheer on the team, the match commences at 11.00am at Blacktown International Sportspark and will be live streamed via the NEAFL YouTube Channel.
