After a first-up win over North Melbourne in torrential conditions at Cazalys Stadium, goldcoastfc.com.au has analysed the team’s top AFL Fantasy performances.

Jarrod Witts (RUC) - $677,000

The conditions were suited for Witts and his craft on Saturday night. Coming up against another dominant ruckman in Todd Goldstein, Witts was superb in the contest, coming away with 34 hitouts and 25 disposals (15 contested).

A fantasy score of 140 has seen Witts rise sharply in value this week and he could face another interesting matchup against Carlton on Saturday. With the Blues’ Matthew Kreuzer in doubt due to a groin injury from round 1, it remains to be seen who exactly he will face off against. It may be worth keeping an eye on his matchup before making a decision on whether to invest in Witts this week.

Aaron Young (FWD) - $420,000

Now could be the perfect time to bring in new SUN Aaron Young. Young split his time on the weekend between the midfield and forward line and managed an impressive 26 disposals and nine tackles in the wet.

His score of 112 is exactly what you’re looking for in a forward, and his ability to play a variety of roles opens up his scoring potential. After proving himself as a genuine Fantasy option, many coaches will be jumping on the forward at his bargain price of $420,000.

David Swallow (MID) - $619,000

Swallow was always going to be a solid Fantasy option in 2018. However what will make him appealing to coaches is his ownership rate of just 0.75%. Swallow chalked up 111 fantasy points on the weekend, a by-product of 32 disposals, four marks and 14 contested possessions.

The midfielder has looked back to his best through pre-season and round 1, making him someone to consider bringing into your side. If he can maintain this sort of output through the midfield this year, he could be a very valuable point of difference for many coaches.
