Voting for the final two rounds of the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award have been revealed.

Alex Sexton was Gold Coast’s top vote-getter during QClash16, bagging four goals in the narrow loss and cementing himself as the SUNS’ leading goalkicker in 2018.

Midfielders David Swallow (three votes) and Touk Miller (two votes) also polled in that game.

Swallow’s votes moved him to equal first on the SUNS leaderboard for AFLCA votes alongside Aaron Young.

No Gold Coast players received votes in the Round 23 clash against Geelong, with Cats midfielder Patrick Dangerfield polling a perfect ten in a dominant performance.

Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn took out the competition overall, finishing on 97 votes.

He finished six votes ahead of Cartlon’s Patrick Cripps (91 votes), with the top-three rounded out by Hawthorn ball-magnet Tom Mitchell (88 votes).
