NAB AFL Draft: Day Two

The 2018 NAB AFL Draft continues on Friday, and will bring you updates throughout the day on our newest SUNS.

We've traded Pick 27 and 32 to West Coast for Pick 23 and a future 5th Round.

With Pick #23 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft we have selected Jez McLennan.

Jez McLennan is a roaming half-back who is good above his head and likes to chop off forward forays, before then providing some rebound for his side. He was a standout for South Australia during the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, winning All Australian honours for his performances off the half-back line. McLennan has experience against bigger bodies in the SANFL, playing for Central District in the quarterback role and impressing with his elite foot skills. The 18-year-old looms as a reliable long-term prospect in defence.

With Pick #71 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft we have selected SUNS Academy player Caleb Graham.

Like Jack Bowes before him, Caleb Graham hails from Cairns and has moved to the Gold Coast to give footy his best shot. Graham is a key defender, who can also swing forward, is a strong contested mark and has the great combination of a long reach and good closing speed. Graham is versatile, being able to play in the ruck, up forward and down back – where he has excelled at NEAFL level in 2018. He reads the ball well and is able to use his athletic frame to take defensive intercept marks.
