AFL Queensland today launched a new ground-breaking state-wide junior AFL football marketing campaign, Footy4Fun!

Attracting new participants to Junior AFL Football, across all age groups, is crucial to achieving AFL Queensland's goal of increasing state-wide participation by 5% in 2019.

Footy4Fun! aims to breakdown misconceptions around junior AFL footy formats and rules, bring fun to junior footy and support participation growth in every Queensland community club and region . This will be achieved through delivering a series of animated Junior Footy Myth Buster videos and providing community clubs with personalised marketing kits.

AFL Queensland State Manager- Junior Football Operations, Cherie Brockwell, said “AFL Queensland are excited to announce the launch of our Footy4Fun! Junior Football Campaign.”

“Footy4Fun! is our first state-wide initiative to promote participation in junior AFL football. One of our main priorities in the rollout of this campaign has been to provide a greater level of localised and community club marketing support.”

“AFL Queensland is proud of the lead we have taken in implementing best-practice in modified formats of our game across our state. Footy4Fun! aims to educate parents and kids on our “right rules for right skill level” approach to junior football, and have some fun while doing it!”

Junior AFL Football competitions will commence across Queensland in late March and early April, to register visit play.afl
