Gold Coast forward Alex Sexton’s good form has continued, with his goal from the pocket earning a Coates Hire Goal of the Year nomination.

Picking up the ball deep in the pocket, Sexton slammed the ball on his boot and the right-foot snap sailed through for a goal late in the first term.

Melbourne's Christian Petracca and Port Adelaide’s Sam Powell-Pepper were the other Round 4 nominees.
