In QClash18, it was the SUNS’ co-captains who stepped up to the plate with some respectable AFL Fantasy scores.

The team at SUNS Media take a look at how they’ll fare this week at Marvel Stadium against the Hawks.

Jarrod Witts (RUC - $709k)

The SUNS ruckman extended his outstanding season on the weekend with another big Fantasy score of 109. What makes it even more impressive is Witts’ score is the highest, and just the second 100+ score the Lions have given up to opposing rucks in the 13 games since the SUNS last faced Brisbane in Round 6.

Since the bye in Round 14, Witts’ lowest score has been a 97, with a ceiling of 126. His average in the last three games is 110.7, and his season average has lifted to 102.3. Coming up against the Hawks and Ben McEvoy this week will be a challenge for Witts, but his form is hard to ignore. He has proven himself against some of the best rucks in the game, with a 97 and 109 against Brodie Grundy and Stef Martin in the last two weeks.

David Swallow (MID - $607k)

Swallow was a standout on the weekend, with his score of 111 consisting of 27 disposals, four marks, five tackles and two goals. Coming up against Hawthorn this week, Swallow averages the highest of all SUNS against the opponent with 98.

Swallow has brought his season average up to 89, but is averaging 94 in his last three games. In Draft leagues, Swallow is owned by just 55% of coaches and should be a popular free agency selection this week with his good match up approaching.
