After kicking 28 goals in a career-best season in 2018, Sexton again improved on that total, finishing with 39 goals for the year.

His efforts saw him comfortably top Gold Coast’s goalkicking tally this season and finish 12th in the Coleman Medal race.

For the second-straight year Sexton was able to play every game for the season and averaged 12 disposals, three marks and almost two goals per game.

In fact, there were only three out of the 22 games where he was held goalless.

After establishing himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the competition, Sexton will be looking to build on his consistency next season and impact games more often.

Best game:

Sexton’s best performance came in the SUNS’ first win of the season at Metricon Stadium, against Fremantle in Round 2. The dynamic forward booted four goals in the win to go with his 17 disposals and four tackles.

Moment of the season:

LET’S TALK ABOUT SEXTON! Secco’s best goal this season came in Round 4 against Carlton where he snapped one of the most unlikely goals from the pocket of Metricon Stadium.
