Gold Coast SUNS Academy graduate Caleb Graham has been confirmed to make his AFL debut this weekend in QClash18.

Graham is in his first year of AFL football and has been impressing in the NEAFL in recent weeks.

“I’m really excited, I can’t wait to get out there on Saturday,” Graham told SUNS Media.

“I got to train with the blue shirts today who were the AFL side so I was feeling a bit nervous and thought I might be a chance.

“We had a meeting today and Nick Malceski broke the news so it was awesome.”

Joining Graham in the side this week is fellow Cairns product Jacob Heron. 

His inclusion means the SUNS will field all four Cairns players for the first time this year with the pair joining Jarrod Harbrow and Jack Bowes in the team.

Coming out of the side are Jack Martin and Peter Wright who have been omitted.

Co-captain Jarrod Witts will also play his 100th AFL match come Saturday. 

The SUNS take on the Brisbane Lions in QClash18 this Saturday at 4:35pm at the Gabba.

Gold Coast SUNS full-season members receive free GA scanning for the match.
