One of the most recognisable players in the AFLW competition, Sarah Perkins joined the SUNS after three years in the system with both Adelaide and Melbourne. Known for her uncanny goal-sense and penetrating kick, Perkins played five matches for the SUNS in 2021 before a knee injury ended her season prematurely. In her time on the field, she changed the dynamic of the SUNS forward line alongside Kalinda Howarth, providing another strong marking option inside 50 and avenue to goal.
