Daryl Braithwaite will perform at Metricon Stadium on Saturday 2nd July at the Gold Coast SUNS Round 16 fixture against Collingwood. 

One of Australia’s most famous and loved artist’s, Braithwaite will perform in the build-up to the Saturday night blockbuster to kickstart what promises to be a night full of entertainment for young and old. 

The Aussie rock icon will perform his worldwide hit, The Horses, to a packed audience of what’s anticipated to be 20,000 people at Gold Coast’s premiere music, football and entertainment venue.

Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans set the challenge to the Gold Coast to come out and not only support their football team but join in what promises to be a resounding rendition of the Aussie classic.

“We’re thrilled to be able to have attracted Aussie legend Daryl Braithwaite, to perform at Metricon Stadium ahead of what is shaping to be a marquee night on the Gold Coast event calendar,” Evans said 

“The challenge now is to have 20,000 Gold Coasters flood into Metricon Stadium to enjoy the pre-game entertainment and then cheer on your AFL team as they continue to fight for a debut finals berth in the club’s history.”

Next Saturday night at Metricon Stadium will provide something for everyone. 

There will be entertainment for all ages, with the Metricon Stadium Kids Zone returning with a kids disco during the pre-game and half time, plus face painting.

“If you haven’t already, purchase your membership or buy your tickets and make sure you get to Metricon Stadium before all the on-field action begins at 6:30pm, it’s set to be a night you and family won’t forget.”

Gates will open at 5:30pm, with Darryl Braithwaite to perform on field at 6:30pm sharp. Following the performance, a Fireworks show will light up the night for all SUNS fans to witness.
