The next generation of GC SUNS Academy talents will have the opportunity to put their skills on show with the club set to feature in the Coates Talent League again in 2024.

Fixtures for both the Coates Talent League Boys and Girls competitions were confirmed on Monday morning, with the SUNS Under 18 sides set to feature in four double headers across a four-week period.

Both SUNS side will host two of its four matches at the Austworld Centre Oval against Oakleigh Chargers on Saturday, April 27 and Geelong Falcons on Sunday, May 12. Both Girls fixtures begin at 10.30am followed by the Boys at 12.40pm.

The two teams also travel to twice to Victoria either side of the clash against the Falcons to take on Dandenong Stingrays at Seaford on Sunday, May 5 (Girls 10.30am, Boys 12.30pm) and Calder Cannons at Highgate Recreation Reserve on Sunday, May 19 (Girls 10.00am, Boys 12.10pm).

The SUNS Boys squad recorded its win in Victoria last year, finishing its 2023 campaign with back-to-back victories. The SUNS Girls squad recorded three wins from as many matches in 2023, including two victories on the road in Melbourne.
