Gold Coast SUNS AFLW utility Daisy D’Arcy placed on the club’s inactive list for the 2025 AFLW season as she continues to recover from an ACL injury.

D’Arcy suffered the injury in the penultimate match of the club’s 2024 campaign and will continue to focus on her rehabilitation to target a return to AFLW action in 2026.

Gold Coast SUNS Head of Women’s Football Fiona Sessarago said, “Our focus is on ensuring Daisy is provided all the support she needs throughout her recovery.

“Daisy is much loved member of our club and I know her teammates, alongside our coaches and staff, can’t wait to see her make a bigger and better return in 2026.”

The 22-year-old had a career-best campaign in 2024, finishing as Club Champion Runner-up.

She also became the first player to win three Players’ Player awards before signing a two-year contract extension alongside Club Champion Charlie Rowbottom and fellow runner-up Niamh McLaughlin, tying the trio to the club until the end of 2026.

The SUNS returned to the Austworld Centre for AFLW pre-season training this week.
