The Gold Coast SUNS have locked in its squad for Sunday’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash against Euro-Yroke (St Kilda) at Marvel Stadium.
All 23 players who took the field in last Thursday’s blockbuster win over Hawthorn in Darwin have been named in the 26-man squad, which will be trimmed to a final 23-player team on Friday evening.
Also named in the extended squad are Ethan Read, Sean Lemmens and Ben Jepson with the latter in the mix for a potential AFL debut.
The squad features five of the club’s Indigenous players in Lemmens (Tiwi), Daniel Rioli (Tiwi), Joel Jeffrey (Wulwulam/Kukatj), Malcolm Rosas Jnr (Rembarrnga/Ngalakan) and Ben Long (Anmatjerre) for the second weekend of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
The SUNS head into Round 11 sitting third on the AFL ladder with a 7-2 record.
