Lachie Weller will return to AFL action for the first time since Round 8 for his 150th game in Sydney on Sunday.
The 29-year-old has been sidelined for several weeks with a hamstring injury but has been included in Damien Hardwick’s side to face the Giants.
Weller is the only confirmed inclusion into to the side that faced Geelong a fortnight ago with Sean Lemmens and David Swallow both omitted from the extended squad.
Alex Davies, Ethan Read, Connor Budarick and Jy Farrar are all in contention to come into the side. They all feature on the extended bench which will be trimmed when the final team is confirmed on Friday evening.
The SUNS last tasted victory against GWS in 2021 and are also eyeing the club’s first victory at Engie Stadium.
