Noah Anderson has taken the outright lead in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award with another starring role in Friday’s win against Collingwood.
Anderson’s six votes on the back of 32 disposals, seven tackles and two goals moves him to 75 votes for the season, clear of Zak Butters (71), Jordan Dawson (70) and Nick Daicos (69) after 18 rounds.
Matt Rowell earned a perfect 10 coaches votes from Damien Hardwick and Craig McRae with a colossal 32 touches, 13 tackles, 12 clearances and two goals, taking his season tally to 54 coaches votes and firing him into the award’s top 15.
Jarrod Witts (three votes) returned from a week on the sidelines in style while Daniel Rioli also earned a vote.
