Rhyce Shaw has locked in his 23-player team for Saturday night’s AFLW Practice Match against Geelong at People First Stadium.

Six of the club’s off-season additions will have their first official hitout at People First Stadium in what is the side’s final match ahead of the season opener against West Coast on August 14.

2025 draftees Havana Harris, Mia Salisbury and Nyalli Milne have been named, as has former Demon Lily Mithen. Tayla Gregory will run out in SUNS colours for the first time just a day after officially becoming a SUN, as will fellow injury replacement addition Ellie Veerhuis.

Mithen and Gregory will join forces in a midfield that also contains defending Club Champion Charlie Rowbottomand newly appointed co-captain Lucy Single. In total, the side features seven StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduates.

As confirmed earlier in the week, several players are unavailable for the match through injury with a targeted return early in the AFLW season. Click here for the Qscan Injury Update.

From 7:30pm, entry to People First Stadium is free through Gate 3 ahead of first bounce at 8pm. Entry prior to 7:30pm will require a valid ticket for the AFL match versus Richmond.
