Three SUNS young guns are in the mix for selection in the AFL Players’ Association 22Under22 team.

Mac Andrew, Bodhi Uwland and Bailey Humphrey all feature in the extended 40-player squad, which will be culled to a fan-voted 22-player team that recognises that best players aged 22 years and under.

Andrew will be eyeing his second 22Under22 team selection after earning a spot in 2024, while Uwland and Humphrey are in contention for their first selections. Uwland did feature in the extended squad for the first time in 2024.

Andrew and Uwland have formed part of one of the league’s best defences in 2025, regularly going toe-to-toe with the AFL’s fiercest key forwards, while Humphrey’s versatility has seen the 20-year-old earn more midfield time to compliment his goal kicking ability inside forward 50.

Voting is now open and closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, August 13. The final team will be announced on Wednesday, August 20.
