Maddy Brancatisano will commemorate her 50th AFLW game in the SUNS season opener in Perth on Thursday night.

As confirmed earlier in the week, 2024 Draftees Havana Harris, Nyalli Milne and Mia Salisbury, along with new recruits Tayla Gregory and Ellie Veerhuis have been named to debut in Rhyce Shaw’s side against the West Coast Eagles.

Inaugural AFLW player and SUNS leader Lily Mithen is also set to run out on to Mineral Resources Park for the first time as a SUN.

Lucy Single and Niamh McLaughlin are gearing up to lead the Gold Coast group - which includes seven StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduates - for the first time as co-captains.
